The Time is Always Right

Waymakers, change agents, history shakers…..are all around us. Take notice of those who stand in their arenas and dare to make a difference, they are pioneers in forgaging paths for our children. Me On the Page is delighted to share another Very Important and Influential African American Educator, Dr. Lamont Ali Francies.

Dr. Francies was born and raised in San Francisco, CA (Bayview/Hunter’s Point Community). He is the Senior Minister of the Delta Bay Church of Christ in Antioch California. Dr. Francies. Dr. Francies currently lives in Oakley Ca with his wife Tiffany and their five children.

Well lettered, Dr. Francies holds a Master of Arts in both Sociology & Counseling; a pupil personnel credential in counseling and a doctorate degree from the University of San Francisco in International & Multicultural Education.He is an adjunct professor of Sociology at Brandman University. He also works an Assistant Principal at Liberty High School in. Brentwood, CA.

As a very dynamic leader and speaker, Dr. Francies performs equity for his school district conducts workshops for numerous educational institutions. His gifts and calling’s have led to invitations to speak at nationwide conferences in the area of African American Student Achievement. He has also authored several articles that deal with the Black Faith tradition and a critique of Multiculturalism.

In a very befitting role as president of the Liberty Union High School District Black Educators Association, Dr. Francies remains an unapologetic advocate for Black students and families. He has organized numerous African American cultural celebrations highlighting the achievements of black students.  

Charismatic and inspiring, Dr. Francies has a heartfelt way of motivating children and adults to make small changes right where they are in their realms of influence. In doing so he ignites a changemakers ripple effect that leaves indelible imprints in the hearts of families and communities.
